iOS
Once you are signed into UltraVPN on iOS, you can easily navigate the settings by tapping on the gear icon, which will show in-depth the VPN settings you can toggle.
Here is the list of settings you will have available, and we will go through each one.
General
Connect on app launch
When you initially launch your iOS device, UltraVPN will be already activated in the background.
Disconnect on sleep
If this is toggled, the VPN will automatically disconnect when you put your device into sleep mode.
Always-on VPN
This feature cannot turn off, and for your security, it stays on. This setting will help reestablish the VPN connection automatically if the VPN somehow gets disconnected.
Kill Switch
This setting will help make everything more secure with you as it will automatically disable the connection to the internet if the VPN connection drops out of nowhere when you are connected.
Network Management
Secured WiFi:
enable secured Wi-Fi in the event you connect to a more private network, such as your home.
Unsecured WiFi:
Enable unsecured WiFi when you connect to a public network such as Starbucks.
Rules for Wifi Networks
Toggle this setting to route the VPN connection when you join certain Wifi networks. The VPN will recognize the Wifi you put in as a priority network to connect to.
Split-Tunneling (New)
Ultra on iOS has a Bypass feature that can bypass specific websites. Once you manually add a site to this feature, the VPN will automatically connect to that app once it has been opened. To add an app or site, click the check mark next to bypass and click the add option. (Note: This only works with Hydra Protocol enabled.)
You can also Route VPN access which will exclusively connect to the VPN always when the VPN is on. You can add apps to this feature by toggling it on via the check box and clicking add next. (Note: This only works with Hydra Protocol enabled.)
To disconnect the VPN once you have closed that site, you will need to go back into the UltraVPN application and disconnect it manually for both Bypass VPN and Route VPN.
VPN Protocol
Automatic (Recommended)
This is automatically turned on when you connect to a virtual location. When this protocol is selected, we will pick the fastest and most secure protocol to connect to for your network or area.
Hydra
This is our company-developed protocol. It only can be found with us. This unique protocol is the fastest in the VPN industry and faster than our other protocols. It is the most secure of our protocols, so whenever you have a technical problem, please try changing to Hydra.
IKEv2 (IPSec)
While being less secure than the other protocols, this is one of our very fast protocols under our belt. If not at par with Hydra, this is still a reliable protocol that may help with certain technical issues.
let's talk about the fantastic Dark Web Scan and Passwatch options located in the 4 square icon next to settings.
Dark Web Scan
Dark Web scan is a handy little feature that can start a scan to check if your account logins and passwords were exposed in the Dark Web. If they are exposed, we provide suggestions on how to prevent this.
Passwatch/Password Management
This handy feature will allow you to keep your online accounts secure and remembers all your passwords so you do not have to.
Mac
Please review this brief summary explaining each feature and where it can be located.
Once you are signed in to the application on your Mac device, please left click on the top left side of your Mac screen under ""UltraVPN" and click preferences.
You will then see the settings screen. Let's go over the general settings first.

Once you manually add an app or site to this feature, the VPN will automatically connect to that app once it has been opened. To add an app or site, click the check mark next to bypass and click the add option. (Note: This only works with Hydra Protocol enabled.)

Now let's talk about the Dark web scan and Password management option found in Mac UltraVPN.
Android
Please review this brief summary explaining each feature and where it can be located.
Please select on the top left the gear icon which shortcuts you to your settings, or please select the person icon on the bottom right and navigate to settings.
We have a few categories to go over so please read the following for each for a brief explanation of what these settings mean and how they can protect your privacy. First, let's talk about Internet Kill Switch.
Internet Killswitch
Protect yourself even further with this feature enabled. Once toggled on, the VPN will disconnect automatically if there is a loss of internet connection from the device. This prevents data from leaking from the time you were using the VPN. Having this enabled will not allow the internet traffic to run in the background once the VPN disconnects. Now let's go into "Trusted Wi-Fi Networks."
Trusted Wi-Fi Networks
With this setting enabled, the VPN will not connect, or it will be disabled if your Android device is connected to a listed network on this setting. Now let's go into "General Settings."
General Settings
Connection on startup: Enable this in case your device shuts off completely, and you need to reboot using the options displayed on the screen or if you need to turn on the device, this option allows the VPN to connect immediately upon that.
Connect on app launch: Enable this for that once you start up the app, the VPN will automatically connect to the most recent Virtual location.
Disconnect on sleep: Enable this option which will disconnect the VPN once you put your Android device into sleep mode.
Network: You have 3 options you can use to auto-connect the VPN when your device connects to one of these networks. Enable unsecured WiFi when you connect to a public network such as Starbucks, enable secured Wi-Fi in the event you connect to a more private network such as your home, and lastly, enable the cellular network to auto-connect the VPN once your device is connected to LTE or 4G.
Split-Tunneling
Similar to Windows, Android also has a Bypass feature, which can bypass certain sites and apps. Once you manually add an app or site to this feature, the VPN will automatically connect to that app once it has been opened. To add an app or site, tap the bypass option.
You can also Route VPN access which will exclusively connect to the VPN always when the VPN is on. You can add apps to this feature by toggling it on and tapping the arrow.
To disconnect the VPN once you have closed that app or site you will need to go back into the UltraVPN application and disconnect it manually for both Bypass VPN and Route VPN.
Now lets talk about these handy Dark Web Scan and Password Management features.
Windows
Please review this brief summary explaining each feature and where it can be located.
Please select on the left the gear icon, and this will display your settings.
You will see options such as those mentioned in the above screenshot. Now let's go through each one and understand what they mean.
Prevent IP Leak
Allowing this will prevent your IP from being detected while you are connected to the VPN. Once connected to UltraVPN your public IP has already changed, but this feature can prevent any sites, cache, or cookies from leaking your IP.
Kill Switch
If UltraVPN suddenly disconnects, enabling this feature will stop the flow of data, protecting you by not allowing the internet traffic to run in the background once the VPN disconnects.
Connection Quality Feedback
This option if toggled will appear after you successfully connected and disconnected the VPN. It is a pop up window asking for feedback on the quality of your connection status. Was it fast? Was it slow? Was it 5 or 4 stars? Please let us know with the feedback option.
Split-Tunneling
UltraVPN supports split tunneling via a feature it calls "Split-tunneling". It enables you to exclude certain apps and websites from the VPN tunnel. You simply need to enable the feature and add the apps or websites you want to go through your regular ISP connection. This can help with email issues, and access issues to certain sites and apps.
VPN Protocol
If you are experiencing connection issues or in some rare cases access issues that cannot be fixed, we recommend switching to different protocols to identify what protocol best works for your network. You may find success when switching protocols. We always recommend Hydra as it is our internally developed protocol with super-fast connection speeds.
Now lets talk about these handy features on Windows called Dark Web scan and password management.
