Note: When using a VPN, all of your traffic is encrypted and decrypted. This requires extra CPU power, which in turn consumes more battery. The more applications you have running in the background with a VPN on, the faster your battery will drain.
You can try a few things to preserve your battery life:
- Go to Settings > General in the UltraVPN app and enable Disconnect on sleep. This will disconnect the VPN while you are not using your phone, preserving battery life.
- Close all the applications you are not using, and make sure they are not running in the background.
- On iOS, you can check which applications drain more battery by following the steps provided in this article, taken from Apple support.
- On Android, you can check which applications drain more battery by following the steps provided in this article, taken from Google support.
